Dig for Amethyst and Agate in the desert near Wendover, Utah.
This dig is free and we will show you where to get the good stuff!
Both digging locations are a short drive outside Wendover. The agate dig will happen on Saturday the 20th near Volcano Peak in the Silver Island Mountains. This site does not require 4wd but it is preferred and cars are not advisable. The amethyst is in Erikson Canyon and will require 4wd, preferably with high clearance. This dig will happen on Sunday the 21st.
Both locations are outside in the sun, so come prepared; sunscreen, proper attire, food, and plenty of water. The closest services are in Wendover on Interstate 80. We will be meeting in Wendover in the morning of both digs and caravanning in from there.
